The Private Financing Advisory Network (PFAN) is a global network of financing сonsultants, which provides free coaching and investor matchmaking services to promising entrepreneurs developing climate adaptation and clean energy projects in low- and middle-income countries.
PFAN is hosted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).
Since 2019, PFAN has raised $18 million in SPP projects and $2 million in biogas projects in Ukraine.
How does PFAN work?
Project developers can check their eligibility and submit an application on the website. If accepted, they will receive free one-to-one coaching at no cost, up to an agreed time. All PFAN coaches have extensive experience in providing advisory services to clean energy businesses across the globe. Together with their coach, the entrepreneurs will develop an investment-ready business plan and supporting documentation.
Once a project is considered ready for investment, it can be selected for one of PFAN’s regional or global Climate and Clean Energy Investment Forums, where the most promising projects are presented to an audience of investors. Investment- ready projects also receive the support of PFAN’s Investment Facilitation Team, which provides targeted, one-to-one introductions to investors, as well as support in negotiations with investors.
