A 25 MW solar power plant was launched in Kamianka (Cherkasy region). The project was implemented by LLC Clean Energy-2011 (Scatec Ukraine). Currently, PJSC "Cherkasyoblenergo" has connected SES to its power grids.
SES is expected to generate about 37 GWh of electricity per year, providing resources to more than 11,000 households.
During the project implementation, Cherkasyoblenerho performed technical reconstruction of the 150/35/10 kV Kamyanka substation at the expense of LLC Clean Energy 2011 in the amount of 68 million UAH as a payment for connection to the power grid. According to the company, the funds from the electricity distribution tariff were not used by the operator. In turn, Scatec Ukraine built two 35 kV cable-overhead lines from the Kamyanka substation to the 2 km long SES of the same name as part of the project.
The project to build a SES in Kamianka worth 30.5 million euros started in December 2018 after a Norwegian investor signed a loan agreement with the EBRD.
Representatives of the Norwegian company noted that this summer two more SES will be connected to the power system and put into operation: in the Progresivka village (Mykolaiv region) with a capacity of 148 MW and the first stage of the station in Chyhyryn (Cherkasy region) with a capacity of 40 MW.
