Ukraine plans to issue "green" Eurobonds to pay debts to renewable electricity producers in the fall of 2021, said Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko during the 12th European Ukrainian Energy Day conference, which took place on June 10, 2021. The issue of "green" Eurobonds will attract funds for settlements with the state enterprise "Guaranteed Buyer".
Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, Chairman of the Board of Ukrenergo, who was present at the conference, noted that the company was preliminarily considering the issuance of 5-year securities for a total of 500 million euros. He also confirmed his intentions to issue this fall.
