The largest wind power plant in Ukraine with an area of 68 hectares is being built on the territory of the Prysyva village territorial community in the Kherson region. By the end of the year, it is planned to install 64 windmills, 120 meters high. The capacity of the wind farm is 250 MW.
The Kherson region became an active platform for the introduction of "green" energy in 2010, when the first solar and wind energy projects were implemented. The construction of alternative power plants is beneficial for local communities. The total cost of the wind farm project in the Prysyva community is 450 million euros. Land unsuitable for agricultural activities is used to locate the wind power plant. Currently, there are 7 wind and 47 solar power plants in the Kherson region.
