In the village of Polyana on June 25, 2021, the fourth ecoforum was held, organized by the Regional Association of Local Governments "Transcarpathia - for a clean environment." The main message of the meeting: "Through the environment - to the economy."
The purpose of the environmental event is to demonstrate effective and modern technological solutions to the environmental problems of Transcarpathia; searching for effective financial mechanisms for the implementation of eco-projects; searching for new organizational and legislative mechanisms for environmental protection; the choice of ways to effectively address the issue of banning the placement of technical facilities in environmentally vulnerable areas.
During the event, the project of the waste sorting plant was presented and a solemn signing of a memorandum on the establishment of the territorial ecological and economic cluster "Karpaty" by the initiating parties, including the Transcarpathian Regional Council and the Regional State Administration. The memorandum was also signed by representatives of business structures, 17 territorial communities, state higher educational institutions of the region and public organizations of the region.
Based on equality, honest partnership and protection of common interests, the Cluster members agreed to unite their efforts in the social and educational spheres, as well as in environmental protection, development of the tourism and recreation industry, local industry and private business, social sphere.
It is also planned to present the latest technology of vacuum drainage for the plains of the Transcarpathian region on the example of the village of Storozhnytsia, Uzhhorod district. In general, the developed positions are important and relevant today in the context of solving the problem of garbage, which has become a cornerstone for each of the communities.
