Energy partnership between Ukraine and Germany

On August 26, 2020, a working meeting of Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine Olga Buslavets and Federal Minister of Economy and Energy Peter Altmaier was held, during which a joint intergovernmental statement was signed between Ukraine and Germany on the establishment of an energy partnership.

Ukraine and Germany agreed to strengthen cooperation in the sphere, such as:

• increasing the level of energy security;
• decarbonization of the economy;
• exchange of innovations in energy technologies;
• development of hydrogen energy;
• digitization of energy infrastructure and creation of a modern energy system.
